A walk-off left Whitman Vikings JV on the wrong end of a 21-20 defeat to Churchill on Tuesday. The game was tied at 20 with Churchill batting in the bottom of the seventh when PlayerH singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Rasika Dronamraju collected four hits in defeat. Dronamraju singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.

Whitman Vikings JV opened up scoring in the first inning. Sophia Polley-Fisanich grounded out, scoring one run.

After Whitman Vikings JV scored one run in the top of the third, Churchill answered with one of their own. Whitman Vikings JV scored when Natalie Lewis singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Churchill then answered when PlayerE grounded out, scoring one run.
Whitman Vikings JV notched five runs in the fifth inning. Carolyn Catan, Isabelle Van Nieuwkoop, and Dronamraju all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Churchill scored six runs in the fourth inning. PlayerC, PlayerD, PlayerF, and PlayerH each had RBIs in the frame.

Polley-Fisanich was on the rubber for Whitman Vikings JV. She allowed 16 hits and 18 runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Whitman Vikings JV collected 12 hits on the day. Dronamraju, Clara Mattick, Lewis, and Van Nieuwkoop each had multiple hits for Whitman Vikings JV. Dronamraju went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Whitman Vikings JV in hits. Whitman Vikings JV tore up the base paths, as eight players stole at least two bases. Dronamraju led the way with five.

Churchill tallied 16 hits. PlayerB, PlayerI, PlayerG, PlayerD, and PlayerC each collected multiple hits for Churchill. PlayerB led Churchill with four hits in four at bats. PlayerF led Churchill with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 20 stolen bases.
